Rules
- Points: Three points behind the 19.9 arc, two
points inside the arc, one point for free throws. Games
are to thirty (30) points.
- Time: Two ten-minute halves with a
two-minute half-time. The clock runs continuously for
the first ten minutes. A two-minute half time then
occurs. In the second half the clock runs continuously
until the last minute of play. With the last minute of
play the clock will start and stop on dead balls and
free throws. The clock begins when the ball is in
bounded. Two time outs per team per game. A two-minute
overtime will be played if the score is tied at the end
of regulation. The team with the most points at the end
of the overtime will be the winner.
- General Rules: High school rules unless
otherwise stated. No grace period allowed. May start
with two players. No jewelry. Technical foul, not
counted toward ejection. No dunking in warm-ups or in
games. Arguing with the officials or scorekeeper will be
a technical foul. Two (2) technical fouls in the same
game is ejection. Technical fouls will be two (2) shots
and the ball. Three (3) technical fouls by the same team
in the same game will be forfeit. Fighting is a
suspension for remainder of tournament for the player
involved. After 5 team fouls shoot 1 and 1. After ten
fouls shoot 2 shots. Dead ball on free throws (no
rebound). Two halves with running clock except for the
last minute of the final half.
- Technical Fouls Player exhibiting
unsportsman-like conduct will be given technical fouls
at the referee’s discretion. A player given two (2)
technical fouls must leave the game and will not play
any longer in that game, but may play in subsequent
games. Any team receiving its third technical foul will
be disqualified from play and will forfeit any prizes or
place in the tournament. No refunds will be given for
any reason.
- Substitutions - Player changes may be made on
any dead ball. A new player MUST notify the referee of
the player change and wait for the referee’s whistle
before entering the game.
- Resetting the Ball - After any change of the
possession (stolen pass, missed or blocked shot, air
ball, etc.) an offensive player must reset the ball by
having possession of the ball anywhere behind the three
point line. Once the player receives a pass or dribbles
the ball past any point in the three point arc, the team
may attempt to score.
- Possession - Each game will begin with a
coin flip. Tie situations and second half possession
will be determined by a rolling alternate possession.
